Day1 Luang Prabang - Oudomxay - Muang La ( L/D )
Depart Luang Prabang this morning and journey north, heading towards the remote province of Oudomxay , a total journey time of approximately 7 hours including stop enroute for a picnic lunch along the way. The road is a little bumpy in places but you will pass through all sorts of dramatic scenery to keep you entertained and can stop whenever you wish to. This northern region of Laos is very mountainous and very green, with rice paddies and plantations dividing areas of thick jungle. You will encounter various tribes on this trip and even on this first journey you will pass some villages perched precariously on steep mountainsides and then others in the valleys carved out by ancient rivers. You will pass through the provincial capital of oudomxay has become an important trading hub and shows the changes which are happening rapidly in the region. This makes the final leg of the journey, away from the busy town and in to unspoiled nature, all the more exciting. The contrast also highlights just how special the experiences are in the remaining wilderness. Arrive at Muang La Resort in the late afternoon. Check in, relax and enjoy the views. ( It does get cold in the evenings here, especially November – March). The resort is built next to a natural hot spring and they fill a small pool every evening with water from the hot spring. Evenings are a real treat here, with 5 course set menus combining Asian and European influences, to be enjoyed by candle-light with the sounds of nature. Dinner and overnight in Muang La Resort
Day2 Muang La Exploring ( B/L/D )
Set off in the morning by 4x4 for Pak Khai; this pleasant 15 mins. transfer takes you through some magnificent views over the Nam Pak River, terraced rice fields and many small villages. On your arrival, you trek starts on small winding tracks which snake their way through the forest. You have the opportunity to meet the local farmers working in the rice fields and learn how they cultivate their land, fish and hunt for small game. You continue into the forest and after 1½ hours, you reach the village of Ban Phavie, a beautiful Khmu village sitting on top of a hill. Your trek continues after lunch to cooling waterfalls where
you can relax in the clear water cascade , lulled by the gentle breeze ( If the weather permitting )
Dinner and Overnight stay at the Resort .

Day3. Muan La Resort – Muang Khua - MuangNgoi by private local boat (B/L/D)
Our guide and car will pick up you at 8:00am from Muang La Resort then drive to Muang Khua . You first follow the main road towards Phongsaly crossing rolling hills; the road leads eventually to Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam. You follow the Nam Pak River, where some of the local people ‘pan for gold”. Nowadays, it is mostly women who Pan and their colorful fabrics light up the riverbanks .
Approximately 2 ½ hours after leaving Muang La Resort, you arrive at Muang Khua for the start of your superb river cruise the river journey from Muang Khua to Muang Ngoi is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the region! You take a private local boat and descend the Nam Ou River, discovering many villages and beautiful landscapes with limestone formations rising majestically from the water. Your lunch comprising a picnic is taken on one of the beaches along the river. Arrival at Muang Ngoi by the late afternoon . dinner and overnight stay at basic guest house which available there .
Day4. MuangNgoi - Nongkiau by private local boat (B/L/D)
Meet at 9:00 Am and begin trekking 30 minutes to visit Tham Kaang, the former sheltering cave for local villagers during Indochina war(1960-1972). Which has never damages with beautiful surrounding. After visiting, we will walk to Ban Houay Boor (a village of Khmu and T'ai Deng village), where we will eat lunch at villager's home. Then we continue trekking to Ban Na ( a village of T'ai Deng ethnic group). After working and living condition, we return to Muang Ngoi and continued taking local boat cruise down to Nongkiau and arrive at Nongkiau in the late afternoon. Nongkiau is a remote village situated by the KzOvernight banks of the river, across a dramatic valley the surrounding mountainous scenery is stunning.Dinner and Overnight at Nongkiau Resort or Similar category .
Day5. Nongkiau – Luang Prabang (B)
After breakfast at your hotel or Guest house , optional walk to visit local morning market at NongKiau district to observe minority and merchandise to exchange their goods and local product from Nongkiau district area , We then say goodbye this lovely town and drive from Nongkiau to LuangPrabang en route stop over to visit Pak Ou caves at the mouth of the Nam Ou river and visit Tam Ting, cave with hundreds of Buddha statues and if time allows it is possible stop also to observe the traditional methods of making local rice alcohol , arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset and transfer to hotel for check-in at your own arrangement .
